"Exploring China by Visiting Dalian", an event co-hosted by Dalian Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and CRI Online, China Media Group, and organized by CRI Online's Liaoning Channel, was held to better facilitate the building of "Culture City of East Asia", help international friends learn more about Dalian, and enhance the city's international fame, influence and attractiveness. June 25 witnessed the last day of the event. During this day, the overseas travel influencers visited a number of brand-new cultural tourism landmarks created out of old factory buildings and gave thumbs-up to this creative city.
At the 1930-Bingshan Industrial Culture Exhibition Hall, the overseas influencers learned that the old factory buildings had been transformed into Internet-famous scenic attractions full of industrial culture. They came to Xiongdong (literally means "the Bear Cave") Street and enjoyed close interaction with the giant mechanical bear "Xiong Beibei". "Xiong Beibei", a new Internet-famous installation created through the combination of technology and art, has contributed to the revitalization of the old factory buildings and made the overseas influencers witness Dalian's continuous innovation and creative utilization of culture.
